Description Building off the guidebook titled The Greening of Corrections: Creating a Sustainable System, three state departments of corrections—Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington—engaged in strategic planning meetings to implement green practices. During this webinar, presenters will provide information about green and sustainable practices within correctional systems. States will share their experiences, including benefits and challenges, of planning and implementing green programs. A brief question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.
Criteria for Acceptance Into the Training Open to participants who are involved in the planning, implementation, or maintenance of green corrections programming within a state, jurisdiction, or correctional facility. The training will be ideal for state environmental coordinators, corrections operations and management staff, and correctional personnel, such as wardens, administrators, sheriffs, and operations coordinators.
