Penal Reform International – Focused on Women in the Criminal Justice System
NIC News & Updates


Penal Reform International (PRI) is an independent non-governmental organization PRIworking to develop and promote “fair, effective and proportionate responses to criminal justice problems worldwide”.  A key priority for PRI is specifically related to women in the criminal justice system and the promotion of non-custodial alternatives for women, as well as incorporating gender-sensitive policies.  They address issues around domestic violence, sexual abuse, sex trafficking, children and parental incarceration.
