From the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children, Safeguarding the Rights of Girls in the Criminal Justice System, provides an international view on how “girls who fall victim to violence often find themselves criminalized, which can lead, in turn, to further violence against them in the criminal justice system.”
