Has there been any news released about the new curriculum?  We are about the have 15 staff trained as facilitators (in April).  I was hoping to find out if we will be trained on the new material or the current material.

There's a new NIC broadcast scheduled for May 11 that will talk about the updates to the program. You can find more info about the broadcast at

NIC is also offering a T4C certification for facilitators. Info about that is at

The New curriculum is really a refresh of the original curriculum. The addition of "knowing your feelings" to the prerequisite social skills lessons, and the additions of some after care lessons can help with generalization of skills and transitions. The resource materials for the 3.0 curriculum should be ready in 8-12 weeks. The best refresh in the new manual is that it is very user friendly and gives the facilitator everything they need to successfully facilitate groups. It is also nice to have examples for institional settings, community corrections, and juvenile populations in the lessons. If you have not started using it yet I encourage you to take a look at it. You will be glad you did.

How do we get the new T4C curriculum?  Also I'm looking for a copy of the overheads.  I've heard there is a disc with them, is that available  ?
