Tattoo removal

Do other states fund tattoo removal programs in prisons?

I am from Oregon Youth Authority and we do fund tatoo removal in our youth correctional facilities.

My department looked into it but the cost is too high.  We will cover up old tattoos, its mostly swastikas.

Tattoo removal is by no means cheap and therefore uncommon.

If you decide to go ahead with it, my advise is to use it sparingly and only in rare circumstances where the cost is worth it.

I believe California funds the removal of gang related tattoos.
