How to Post a new message
To post a new topic, use the link above to find the forum you would like to create a new topic in. A topic is a question, idea, or statement related to the forum subject area that you would like feedback on or think would be beneficial for others to engage around.
To post a new comment, find the forum topic you wish to add a comment to and scroll down the page. The grey boxes on the page are comments by other users. You can either choose the reply button in the bottom left of someone's comment, or add a comment directly to the topic by using the comment form at the bottom of the page.

How to get forum notifications & emails
You must subscribe to the forum, topic, or comment if you want to be sent email alerts whenever new messages are posted. Make sure that your spam filter allows all email from nicic.gov.
To subscribe, go to the forum or topic page you want to subscribe to. On that page will be grey buttons with envelope icons next to them. The language of the button will describe what you are choosing to subscribe to. Some buttons will have an arrow on the right side of the button, indicating that there is more than one option to subscribe to. Clicking on the right-side arrow will expand the list to reveal all the subscription options.
After clicking subscribe, the icon will change to a circled 'x' and the button language will change to unsubscribe icon. We have also changed unsubscription buttons to be more eye-catching so that if you would like to unsubscribe, it will be easier to come back and find the same content again.
IMPORTANT: To unsubscribe, you need to find the same content you previously chose to subscribe to and click the unsubscribe button. This is the only way to remove your subscriptions at this time.

How to Report Content
The NIC Forums are monitored closely by NIC staff. While we try our best to prevent content that does not meet our posting guidelines from making it through the review process, sometimes we may miss something or not understand the larger context. If you see a comment or topic that is concerning, please use the red Report this Topic button in the lower right corner of a Topic or Comment.

How to Bookmark Content
You can Bookmark content either using your regular Browser's bookmarking feature, or you can use the NIC forums' own bookmarking features that associates bookmarks with your user account.
To Bookmark a topic, go to that topic and then look for a light blue button in the lower right corner of a blue topic box with a bookmark icon in it. Hover over that and then click on the button to bookmark the topic.
